Job Description:


- Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00)
- Minimum Experience: 2 years; 1st Timers are accepted
- Patient Population: Adults to Geriatrics
- Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS, NIH
- Unit Type: Telemetry unit with diverse diagnoses:
- Congestive Heart Failure (CHF)
- Myocardial Infarction (MI) / Chest pain (pre- and post-cath)
- Dysrhythmias (pre- and post-device implants)
- Hypo-/Hypertension
- Pleural effusion
- Sepsis
- Pulmonary Embolism (PE) / Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) / vascular issues
- Patient Ratio: 1:4-5; 16 Rooms
- Unit Systems: Epic (Required), Pyxis, SBAR
- Scrub Color: Navy Blue
- RTO: MAX 7 days RTO
- Blackout Dates: Every other weekend unless specified
- Floating: Yes, within facility/scope of practice as needed
- Call Requirements: None
- Holidays: Expected to work one, two, or, if applicable, two major holidays during assignment

General Skills and Work Setting Requirements:
- Must manage the following cardiac and vasoactive drips (no titration):
- Milrinone (Primacor)
- Dobutamine (Dobutrex)
- Amiodarone
- Cardizem
- Lidocaine
- Bumex
- Heparin

Additional Skills:
- BiPAP/CPAP management
- Blood Product Administration
- Cardiac Telemetry
- Central line care/management
- Chest tubes management
- High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC)
- Interpretation of dysrhythmias
- IV insulin protocols
- Management of dysrhythmias
- Telemetry - on-unit and remote monitoring
- Tracheostomy care/management
- Wound Care/Wound Vac

Unit Details:
- Staffing & Scheduling Type: Self-scheduling
- Patient Ratios: 5 patients during days, nights, and weekends
- Weekend Coverage: Required
- Orientation Hours: 24
