Dish Steward Department: Food and Beverage Employment Type: Seasonal - Full Time Location: Denali Princess Wilderness Lodge Description Service Excellence. Performance. Integrity. Teamwork. You will operate dish machine equipment and handle delicate commercial kitchenware with elevated standards of quality and attention to detail.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Clean, wash, dry, and sanitize dishes, utensils, and equipment per Company standards and specifications in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Inspect, clean, and maintain equipment, chemicals, and linens. Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation in all work and storage spaces. Assist with stocking kitchen and organizing product. Completing sanitization and food safety protocols and logs with assistance and direction from management. Contribute effectively to a positive guest experience while maintaining a professional attitude and appearance.

REQUIREMENTS

Must pass a pre-employment background check. Minimum age of 18 years is required to reside in company housing, where available. Must be eligible to work in the United States. Holland America-Princess is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time (e.g., H-2B status).

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

Must have or be able to obtain an Alaska Food Handler Card. Ability to lift 50 lbs./23 kg, work around hot kitchen equipment safely, and stand/walk for long periods of time. Ability to work safely in a commercial kitchen environment. Ability to organize and prioritize work, maintain attention to time constraints, while working in a team or group environment. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and external influences. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while achieving daily goals. Ability to support and comply with company policies, procedures and guidelines including support and comply with company health and safety standards.
