POSITION SUMMARY:

Dubois Chemicals is a growing company with global operations and significant merger & acquisition activity. Our North America accounting team is looking for a new staff accountant to join our team!

This individual's responsibilities include maintaining financial records for our US operations, performing (and automating) account reconciliations, driving & improving monthly closing, and driving process improvement within the team. You will also be assisting the controller & CFO as needed with ad-hoc projects.

We're looking for someone who is never satisfied with the status quo and enjoys working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintaining financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts
  
• Preparing journal entries, analyses, and assisting with monthly close processes
  
• Performing & automating monthly balance sheet & bank account reconciliations
  
• In charge of reconciling Inventory and working with Supply Chain team to understand costs
  
• Meeting processing and reporting deadlines
  
• Responding to information requests, reviewing financial statements, and assisting with audits
  
• Ensuring compliance with GAAP
  
• Assisting the Controller and CFO as needed
  
• Assisting with setting up ERP account structures
  

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• 2-5 years of accounting experience
  
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  
• ERP system experience
  
• Working knowledge of GAAP
  
• Strong analytical skills & ability to work with large data sets
  
• Good problem-solving and time management skills
  
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
  
• Prior experience with BI/Analytics tools helpful but not required (e.g. Alteryx, DataIku, Power BI, Spotfire, Tableau, Qlik, etc.)
  

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related fields.
