Working under the direction of a Finance Director this role executes assigned activities with accuracy, efficiency, and professionalism to advance APTA’s mission and priorities. Seeks out and supports opportunities for continuous quality improvement in department activities. Effective champion of the Association vision, mission, and brand.Essential FunctionsExecutes assigned program tasks accurately and on schedule.Maintains and updates files, databases, and tracking tools for the Finance department.Prepares materials, correspondence, and reports as directed.Coordinates meetings logistics and communications with staff and members.Responds to member and staff requests with courtesy and accuracy.Supports cross-departmental projects.Upholds organizational policies, ethical standards, and quality expectations.Supports the Finance team in the implementation of the Association’s programs, priorities, and projects in partnership with department director and staff colleagues.Prepares, in consultation with the Director, department level data which supports and aligns with the APTA data strategy.Staff ExpectationsUpholds and fosters APTA Staff ValuesComplies with all APTA policies and proceduresPerforms other duties as assigned to foster achievement of association prioritiesMinimum 1-2 years of experience in associations or non-profits in Finance and Accounting activities or relevant experienceExperience providing administrative or operational supportHigh diploma or GED required; some college or relevant undergraduate degree preferredStrong data management skillsExcellent customer service skillsExcellent communication skills – written and verbalMust be highly organized; strong organizational skills – must be able to meet deadlines and respond to changing prioritiesProficient in MS Office, particularly advanced knowledge of ExcelHighly motivated; ability to work independently as well as with teamsTakes initiative, sets priorities, and sees projects through completionTravel RequirementsNoneHow To ApplyPlease send resume and cover letter, including salary requirements, when applying.Principals only; no agencies; no phone calls, please.
