Personal Financial Counselor, PFC-Fort Myer-Henderson Hall, VA

Responsibilities Provide personal financial services at assigned military installations. Deliver full breadth of personal financial counseling services to service members and families. Conduct one‑on‑one counseling, briefings, presentations, and referral resources. Work with installation and military branch Points of Contact (POC) to ensure program scope and meet needs. Assist service members with spending plans for extended absences. Develop and distribute informational financial materials. Coordinate, publicize, and conduct Personal Financial Management classes/workshops across the military lifecycle. Respond to requests for age‑appropriate classes or seminars. Utilize virtual counseling or electronic communication modes. Manage duty to warn situations per DoD protocol. Communicate with leadership and participate in supervision, sharing trends and issues. Participate in in‑services, training, quality improvement committees or other contract activities as assigned. Perform all other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree required (or associate degree plus 4 years experience, or high school diploma plus 6 years experience). 3+ years of financial counseling experience. U.S. citizenship; fluent English; bilingual English/Spanish if required. Ability to obtain a Tier2 investigation. Pass the Congressionally Mandated Disclosures for Organizational Conflicts of Interest (OCI) process. Must hold one of the following certifications: AFC, CFP, or ChFC. Compensation and Benefits Salary range: $58,440 to $93,500. Position may be eligible for short‑term incentives and a comprehensive benefits package including health, life, and voluntary benefits.
