Job Opportunity – Neuro Interventional Radiology RN – Virginia

Start Date: November 2, 2026

Location: Arlington, Virginia

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 4x10-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM. On-call requirement: 10-12 primary/backup shifts every six weeks (mix of weekday and weekend), with 30-minute response time.

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

Highlights:

• Specialize in neuro/stroke care with focus on thrombectomy procedures in a busy interventional radiology department
• Provide conscious sedation, patient monitoring, pre-procedural timeouts, and critical care nursing support
• Work with Epic Radiant (IR) EMR system
• Call volume designed to decrease as staffing increases
• Interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, interpretation services, rapid response teams, and transportation
• Time-off requests must be minimal and included at time of submission; manager approval required

Requirements:

• Active Virginia RN license or Compact license (must be in hand at time of submission)
• Minimum 3 years of nursing experience
• Neuro/stroke experience required
• Thrombectomy experience required
• Conscious sedation experience required
• IR or procedural nursing background, or ICU experience
• Travel nursing experience required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale
• Epic experience required (must attend Epic training course based on experience level)
• Flu vaccine required during flu season (October 1 – March 31); medical exemptions only
• COVID-19 vaccine required; medical or religious exemptions may be considered with appropriate documentation
• Ability to respond within 30 minutes for on-call shifts
