PRN Employment Requirements To maintain PRN employment status requires working 24 hours every six weeks. Preferred Qualifications Role Purpose Provides multi-skilled, direct patient care, under the direction and supervision of a registered professional nurse. This job requires completion of a foundational nursing skills course or equivalent (fundamentals, foundations, or adult/peds health). Responsibilities Assist nurse with patient and family education. Document all patient care activities with correct medical terminology. Act as 1:1 patient safety sitter as necessary. Ensure availability of supplies and equipment to meet each patient's needs. Implement direct patient care under the supervision of the nursing team. Collect clinical data and information on patients and report abnormal findings to the nurse. Instruct patients in preparation for tests and procedures. Minimum Requirements Education: Enrolled in an accredited RN program. Experience: No Experience. Supervisor Experience: No Experience. Preferred Requirements: Enrolled in an accredited BSN program.
