Equipment Maintenance Technician

Equipment Maintenance TechnicianThe Equipment Maintenance technician performs repairs and physical plan equipment in an industrial recycling environment. Duties include diagnosing and repairing all mechanical and electrical maintenance issues associated with maintaining production machinery and equipment throughout the facility.Essential Responsibilities:Installs and repairs control panels and associated components, motor control circuits, building and lighting circuits.Diagnoses electrical systems, circuit breakers and low voltage power distribution systems, AC/DC motors, PLC and VFD drive systems.Performs preventative maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems of the production and physical plant equipment.Reads electrical/mechanical and schematic drawings to maintain equipment in a safe working manner in accordance with appropriate codes and ordinances.Repairs and maintains mechanical equipment, air compressors, hydraulic systems, conveyor systems, gear boxes, and air handler units.Operate shop machinery, drill press, laths, milling machine and hand tools.Additional duties as assigned by supervisor.Education and Experience:High School Diploma or GEDPLC troubleshooting and problem solving ability with practical, mechanical and electrical aptitudePrior experience in a manufacturing environment preferredPrior experience working with conveyors preferredValid driver's licenseMechanical or trade school certificate preferredAbility to work independently as well as within a team environmentAbility to communicate effectively in both spoken and written formBenefits at Modern:Medical, Dental and Vision CoverageRetirement Savings with Employer MatchHealth Savings AccountsVoluntary Insurance ProductsEmployee Assistance ProgramPaid Time OffPaid HolidaysDirect Deposit/Electronic PaystubsDiscount MembershipsCompany-Sponsored EventsModern Corporation is an Equal Opportunity Employer and is committed to providing all applicants and employees the right to equal employment opportunities with regards to all aspects of the employment relationship.
