Allied - Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Respiratory Therapist
The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for providing patient assessments, treatment administration, and maintaining life support for individuals facing respiratory challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment: Evaluate patients experiencing respiratory issues by performing examinations, analyzing blood and sputum samples, and conducting lung capacity tests.
- Treatment Administration: Deliver oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, and chest physiotherapy to enhance respiratory function.
- Life Support/Ventilation: Manage, set up, and operate mechanical ventilators for patients who are unable to breathe independently.
- Emergency Response: Provide emergency care, including artificial respiration, bronchopulmonary hygiene, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
- Documentation: Maintain accurate patient records, collaborate with physicians on treatment plans, and assist with discharge planning.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on managing respiratory diseases and using home medical equipment.
Available for night shifts.
Holiday coverage is not required.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in respiratory therapy is required.
