Job Duties Administers flu vaccines Disposes of bio-hazardous waste in the appropriate and prescribed manner Assists with set up and dismantle of flu fair event site Ensures appropriate consent forms are completed prior to flu vaccine administration Performs other related duties as required. Qualifications Education Required – Completion of an accredited LPN program. Work Experience Required – None. Certifications Current LPN License in the state of practice. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) Must have computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of patient information. Must be proficient with Windows-style applications, various software packages specific to role and keyboard. Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process. Excellent organizational skills. Excellent time management skills. Physical and Environmental Demands Heavy Work—Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Activities include working in a patient care area, exposure to blood, body fluid and tissue, communicable diseases, hazardous medications and hazardous waste, with occupational risk exposure as described above.
