The facility is committed to delivering the highest standard of patient-centered care and offers healthcare professionals a rewarding opportunity to serve those who serve our country.Facility Address: 1650 Cochrane Cir, Fort Carson, CO 80913ResponsibilitiesProvide a full range of outcome-based nurse practitioner services in accordance with granted privilegesDiagnose and treat patients with acute conditions, chronic illnesses, or minor trauma within accepted protocols and clinical practice guidelinesPromote preventive care and health maintenance including annual physicals, health behaviors, and self-care through education and counselingPrescribe and dispense medications as delineated by the Pharmacy and Therapeutics CommitteeServe as primary care manager (PCM) for an assigned patient panelOrder diagnostic tests and request consultations or referrals with appropriate physicians and health resourcesRecognize adverse signs and symptoms and react quickly in emergency situationsMaintain proficiency in electronic health records and specialized medical equipment (IV pumps, cardiac monitors, EKG units, nebulizers)Participate in peer review, quality assurance, and continuous quality improvement activitiesQualificationsEducation: Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with specialization as a Family Nurse Practitioner from a program accredited by a national nursing accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.Experience: 24 months of active practice as a Family Nurse Practitioner (or in training) within the last 36 months with demonstrated current clinical competency.Certifications: BLS, ALS (ACLS), and PALS — must be maintained current throughout assignment.Board Certification: Certified as a Nurse Practitioner by ANCC, AANP, or recognized national nursing certification organization.Licensure: Current, unrestricted license to practice in any U.S. state or jurisdiction.DEA Registration: RequiredU.S. Citizenship requiredScheduleMonday – Friday, 8–10 hour shifts between 0600–1800, not to exceed 40 hours per week. 30/60-minute uncompensated lunch.KurzSolutions is committed to improving health outcomes by providing well-managed companies with the top healthcare talent in the market.
