Counsel - Employment Law Advisory

Job Overview A law firm seeks an experienced employment law Counsel for its Chatham, New Jersey office. This role is ideal for a motivated, detail-oriented attorney who thrives in a dynamic environment and is interested in a non-litigation, advisory-focused position. The position offers a hybrid work model with a minimum of two in‑office days per week. Responsibilities Advise clients on employment issues, including hiring, policies, and performance management. Communicate regularly with clients via phone and virtual platforms. Prepare workplace agreements and policies. Handle agency matters with EEOC and DOL. Oversee associates in the Counseling Practice Group. Train clients on employment law and DEI issues. Develop and deepen client relationships. Participate in webinars, seminars, and firm‑related events. Requirements Minimum of 10 years of substantive employment law experience. Admitted to the NJ bar; NY bar admission is a plus. Exceptional legal writing and communication skills. Strong research and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple clients and matters. Experience in third‑party investigations is a plus. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree. Certifications Admission to the NJ bar; additional state bar licenses are a plus. Skills Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving abilities.
