Operations Manager

The Role We're seeking a hands-on Operations Manager who can do it all: coordinate complex deliveries, lead installation crews, troubleshoot equipment in the field, and keep our customers running 24/7. This is a high-travel, high-autonomy role for someone who thrives on solving problems, working with their hands, and getting the job done—day or night. Key Responsibilities Coordinate container deliveries nationwide, working with carriers, ports, and customer sites Supervise and support installation contractor crews on-site Perform and oversee field service for maintenance, repairs, and commissioning Execute hands-on repairs: welding, grinding, riveting, and general fabrication Troubleshoot refrigeration, electrical, and mechanical systems Serve as primary field contact for customers during critical operations Ensure all work meets safety and quality standards Be available for night shifts and emergency calls when required Requirements Hands-on mechanical and construction skills: welding (MIG/stick), grinding, riveting, general fabrication and repairs Experience operating heavy equipment: forklifts, cranes, reach stackers, or similar Current forklift certification (or ability to obtain) OSHA safety certification or equivalent (TWIC card, offshore safety training, maritime certifications accepted) Fluent in English and Spanish (spoken and written) – required Ability to travel extensively (60-80%), often on short notice Comfortable working nights, weekends, and emergency calls Self-reliant problem solver who can work independently in remote locations Valid driver's license Physically fit for demanding outdoor work in varying conditions Ideal Candidate Profile We're looking for someone with a "fix anything" mentality from industries where improvisation and self-reliance are survival skills: Commercial fishing – Deck hands, engineers, or captains experienced with onboard welding, refrigeration, hydraulics, and crane/winch operations Offshore oil & gas – Roustabouts, mechanics, or technicians comfortable with rotational schedules, heavy equipment, and working in isolated conditions Merchant marine / Commercial shipping – Experience with reefer containers, container handling, and shipboard repairs Intermodal / Railroad yards – Reach stacker or crane operators with container handling background Agricultural equipment – Mechanics or operators experienced with refrigerated transport, harvest equipment, and field repairs Mining or heavy civil construction – Equipment operators and field mechanics used to remote job sites What We Offer Competitive compensation based on experience Travel allowance and per diem Remote position with significant field presence Opportunity to grow with an expanding operation Direct impact on company success Experience with refrigeration systems (Thermo King, Carrier, Daikin) Background with ISO shipping containers or modular construction Military veterans with mechanics/logistics MOS welcome #J-18808-Ljbffr
