Job Overview

PlanetArt is hiring Seasonal Fulfillment Associates to support the Fulfillment department during our Q4 holiday peak, October through December. This is a temporary, full-time position.

You'll be responsible for warehouse functions including receiving, storing, handling, shipping and preparing product for customer delivery, all while keeping the warehouse safe and orderly. responsible for the planning, organizing, and directing of all regular, seasonal and temporary personnel. Incumbent will be “hands-on” and possess structured problem-solving skills. This is the highest-volume stretch of our year, so mandatory 10 and 12-hour shifts and weekend hours should be expected throughout the assignment. Flexibility to change shifts for short periods may also be needed.

What You’ll Do
Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for assisting the Supervisor with the management of all production, quality personnel and departmental issues as they arise.
• Maintain a Safety First and continuous improvement based culture.
• Coordinate with Maintenance and Engineering team to identify areas needing improvement and on-going preventive maintenance of machinery and equipment
• Ensure employees have necessary tools to perform essential functions of their jobs.
• Prepare shipments for delivery to customers
• Select the most economical method of shipment using knowledge of shipping methods
• Keep an adequate supply of shipping and receiving materials on hand
• Ensure shipments are packed for safe delivery
• Inspect receipts for damages or defects, record discrepancies and notify supervisor and/or purchasing personnel
• Support the shipment of goods produced, and receive shipping/receiving supplies used in the production and storage of goods for sale
• Forward requisitions for shipping/receiving materials to the Department Supervisor for approval
• Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly manner and follow prescribed safety rules and regulations
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned (mail sort and distribution, etc.)
• Assist shipping and receiving departments during short staffing, high demand or slow periods

• Experience in manufacturing environment
• Demonstrated leadership of large, small and effective work teams
• Demonstrated ability to train others
• Good organizational and oral/written communication skills
• A demonstrated willingness for continual learning and skill development
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task
• Understanding of MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook. Experience using warehouse management systems to manage inventory preferred
• Bi-lingual Spanish/English preferred but not required
• Enthusiastic self-starter and team player a must
• Minimum High School diploma and five years of previous supervisory experience in any industry preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• Experience supervising daily activities of seasonal, temporary and full-time personnel required.
• Availability to work 2nd shift, overtime and weekends throughout the October through December season

Benefits

The compensation range for this position is $17.50 - $18.50 per hour.
