Position Overview

The City of Phoenix is seeking a Cloud Support Engineer / Apple JAMF Administrator responsible for the deployment, configuration, management, and support of enterprise Apple devices using JAMF Pro and related cloud technologies.

The role will manage the full lifecycle of macOS, iOS, iPadOS, and tvOS devices, including enrollment, configuration, deployment, security, compliance, patch management, troubleshooting, and retirement. The position will also integrate Apple device management with Apple Business Manager, Microsoft Intune, Entra ID, Microsoft 365, SSO, and Conditional Access.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and support enterprise Apple devices using JAMF Pro.
• Manage the complete device lifecycle, including enrollment, deployment, configuration, security, compliance, patching, and retirement.
• Configure and maintain JAMF policies, profiles, applications, and automation scripts.
• Integrate JAMF with Apple Business Manager (ABM), Microsoft Intune, and Entra ID (Azure AD).
• Support secure provisioning, identity management, SSO, and Conditional Access.
• Manage macOS, iOS, iPadOS, and tvOS environments.
• Troubleshoot Apple device, MDM, connectivity, and endpoint-related issues.
• Implement endpoint security and patch management practices.
• Develop automation using Bash/Shell/Python scripting.
• Monitor device compliance and ensure enterprise security standards are maintained.
• Collaborate with IT, security, networking, and other technical teams.
• Provide advanced technical support and maintain appropriate documentation.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of Apple device administration experience.
• Hands-on JAMF Pro administration experience.
• Experience with Apple Business Manager (ABM) and Mobile Device Management (MDM).
• Enterprise experience supporting macOS and iOS environments.
• Experience in endpoint management or systems administration.
• Basic networking knowledge.
• Experience with Apple device lifecycle management, deployment, configuration, and patch management.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field , or equivalent experience.
