Human Resources Generalist

Job Summary The Human Resource Generalist provides HR support to the Nortek Data Center Cooling Site and works closely with the Human Resources Manager. Responsibilities include employee relations, policy implementation, recruitment and employment, training, and HR administration. Primary Job Functions Conduct full‑cycle recruitment processes, including job posting, sourcing, screening, interview scheduling, offers, pre‑employment documentation, and onboarding. Partner with local schools and universities to attract newly educated candidates for current and future needs. Implement new‑hire orientation and employee recognition programs. Administer and execute human resource programs such as compensation, benefits, leave, disciplinary matters, disputes and investigations, performance and talent management, productivity, recognition, morale, occupational health and safety, training, and development. Lead the coordination of employee activities and events and provide necessary support. Ensure required staff and materials are available and prepared for events. Collaborate with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity, and retention. Assist in the development, implementation, and administration of HR policies and procedures. Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation. Advises and assists employees and managers on HR policies, programs, and procedures; resolves HR inquiries or escalates as appropriate. Stay current on state/federal employment laws and company policies. Support training and development efforts. Drive a high level of employee engagement, productivity, and efficiency. Participate in organization‑wide projects with wide impact. Perform additional functions and requirements as assigned. Position Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field. 2–4 years of human resources work experience. Knowledge of federal and state employment law and general HR concepts. Strong interpersonal skills and decision‑making ability. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment. Demonstrated organizational skills and prioritization. Professional management of confidential information and strong business acumen. Strong conflict‑resolution skills. Willingness to learn and grow. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite. Preferred At least 2 years of HR work experience in a manufacturing environment.
