Project Safety Manager – Heavy Civil ConstructionLocation: Woodford, VAProject Duration: Approximately 4 monthsStart Date: Late JanuaryCompensation: $55-60/hour + per diemPosition OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Project Safety Manager to support a heavy civil construction project in Woodford, Virginia. The project scope includes pile driving for foundations and other related heavy civil activities. The Safety Manager will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and enforcing all safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company standards and applicable regulations throughout the duration of the project.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, implement, and enforce site-specific safety plans and proceduresEnsure compliance with OSHA, state, and local safety regulationsConduct daily site safety inspections and hazard assessmentsOversee safety aspects of pile driving operations and heavy equipment activitiesLead safety orientations, toolbox talks, and training sessionsInvestigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions; prepare reports and corrective actionsServe as the primary safety point of contact for project management, subcontractors, and field crewsMaintain accurate safety documentation, logs, and reportsPromote a proactive safety culture on the jobsiteQualificationsMinimum 5+ years of construction safety experience, preferably in heavy civil constructionPrior experience with pile driving operations strongly preferredIn-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety best practicesOSHA 30 required (OSHA 500 or equivalent a plus)Strong communication and leadership skillsAbility to work independently and enforce safety standards consistentlyFirst Aid/CPR certification preferredWork Schedule & CompensationFull-time, project-based role (approximately 4 months)Pay rate around $55-60/hour, commensurate with experiencePer diem providedTravel or local candidates welcomeE04JI800pcjj408iwwg #J-18808-Ljbffr Tech9
