About the Opportunity: McManimon, Scotland & Baumann, LLC is seeking a highly talented and motivated Associate Attorney with 3+ years of experience to join its Bankruptcy & Restructuring and Litigation Services practices. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with seasoned practitioners on sophisticated commercial, insolvency, and fiduciary matters in both federal and state courts. Responsibilities Representing debtors, creditors, trustees, receivers and assignees in Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings, as well as related state court insolvency actions. Drafting pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal memoranda in bankruptcy and commercial litigation matters. Assisting with assignments for the benefit of creditors, receiverships, and other fiduciary representations. Participating in court hearings, mediations, and negotiations under the supervision of senior attorneys. Communicating directly with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel in a professional and client-focused manner. Qualifications Admission to the New Jersey Bar (Admission to New York Bar a plus) 3+ years of relevant experience in bankruptcy, restructuring, creditors’ rights or complex commercial litigation Strong legal research, writing and analytical skills Experience with court appearances or assisting with contested matters Ability to manage multiple matters, meet deadlines and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
