Associate Director of Nursing

Job TitlePosition is onsite in Middletown, RIMonday-Friday 8am-4pm, with weekend rotationContract + extensionsResponsibilities:Assures all necessary mandatory education related to fire safety, infection control, resident rights, hazard communication, safety issues, dementia training and policy and procedure are up to dateSchedules mandatory in-services on a rotating basisAssists in developing, implementing and conducting relevant in-service training programs and staff-based competenciesCompletes patient care requirements by scheduling and assigning nursing and staff, following up on work resultsEstablishes a positive work environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, friends, and familiesProvides information to patients and health care team by answering questions and requestsProvides staff education & development for new hires and on-going competenciesEnsures complete and prompt reporting on incidents with follow up as necessaryEnsures that significant changes in residents' condition are communicated to the physician, family or responsible partyAssist with tracking & administration of staff and resident immunizationsRequirements:DON/ADON experience in similar setting requiredRI/Compact RN license requiredBLS requiredAt least 3-5+ years of experience
