If you are hands-on and looking for a place to have a multiplying effect on making autonomous systems a reality, Applied is the place for you!We are hiring for all levels.At Applied Intuition, you will:Design and implement a state of the art mapping and localization system capable of running on a variety of vehicles platforms, providing lifelong mapping and localization in dynamic environmentsBuild a scalable system that can build local or global map, fuse live data with mapBuild real time onboard localization with high integrity as well as offboard localization methodsMake best use of available resources and sensors including Inertial sensors, vehicle signals, GNSS, cameras, lidars, radars etc for mapping and localizationContinuously and relentlessly improve the system performance using large-scale data driven methods rooted in first principlesWe're looking for someone who has:BS in Computer Science, Robotics, Applied Mathematics, or related engineering field3+ yrs of experience building software components or (sub) systems that address real-world mapping and localization challengesDeep understanding of the core localization concepts, world representations and transforms, the intersection of mapping of localization, and error analysis and characterizationKnowledge about how to analyze and compare the performance of various hardware solutions for localizationC++ programming expertiseNice to have:MS / PhD with focus on localization, mapping closely related fieldDeep hands-on expertise in relevant algorithms or methods, such as SLAM, state estimation, non-linear optimization, Computer Vision, 3D geometry, numerical analysis, or distributed systemsDeep understanding of sensors used for localization, state of the art industry solutions, and common approaches for production systemsExperience with large-scale data processing using frameworksCompensation at Applied Intuition for eligible roles includes base salary, equity, and benefits. Base salary is a single component of the total compensation package, which may also include equity in the form of options and/or restricted stock units, comprehensive health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance coverage, 401k retirement benefits with employer match, learning and wellness stipends, and paid time off. Note that benefits are subject to change and may vary based on jurisdiction of employment.Applied Intuition pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum intended target base salary for new hire salaries for the position.
