Maintenance Manager - Fiber

Key Responsibilities Overall responsibility for the continuous and efficient operation of the maintenance team within the facility(ies). Manage colleagues who troubleshoot equipment to ensure downtime does not lead to inefficiencies or catastrophic failures. Review daily productivity reports and conduct visual inspections for mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, or hydraulic problems. Develop and implement preventive maintenance and machine improvement programs, utilizing lean manufacturing concepts, techniques, and processes. Procure replacement tools and parts for manufacturing operations as needed. Oversee in-house design, fabrication, and installation of equipment, and train colleagues on proper use. Implement strategic direction for the maintenance team in alignment with company goals. Ensure safety observances are met, including PPE use, guard and safety feature functionality, and promotion of good daily safety practices. Communicate goals and objectives, apply company policy, staff, train, coach colleagues, and review performance; recommend salary increases and administer discipline when necessary. Perform other duties as assigned. Education and Experience Typically possesses a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and 8‑12 years of relevant experience. Knowledge and Skills Comprehensive knowledge and in‑depth understanding of manufacturing operations and maintenance concepts and practices. Technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical/electronic, instrumentation, and computer systems. Experience with assembling and disassembling equipment. Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems. Excellent project management and planning skills. Strong problem‑solving skills. Excellent leadership skills and ability to manage a team effectively. Compensation Range The pay range for this position is $103,900.00 – $176,800.00 annually. Typically, a competitive wage for new hires will fall between $110,000.00 and $125,000.00 annually. Offers may vary based on market data and other factors such as job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location. The position may also be eligible for a short‑term incentive.
