Inpatient Staff Pharmacist - Louisiana

Job Description

RPh on the Go is seeking a licensed Inpatient Staff Pharmacist to join a hospital pharmacy team in Louisiana. This opportunity is ideal for a pharmacist with hospital experience who is looking for a contract-to-hire position in a collaborative inpatient setting.

Schedule

Monday–Friday, rotating shifts:

First shift: 7:00 AM–3:30 PM

Second shift: 12:30 PM–9:00 PM

Rotating weekends

13-week contract with potential for permanent hire

Hospital Overview

Inpatient hospital setting

131-bed facility with approximately 60–70 active beds

Electronic order entry: Epic

Automated dispensing system: Pyxis

Responsibilities

Review and verify medication orders for accuracy and clinical appropriateness.

Support safe medication distribution and dispensing for inpatient patients.

Work with the pharmacy team and healthcare professionals to support patient care.

Assist with medication management and pharmacy operations.

Follow hospital policies and applicable pharmacy regulations.

Requirements

Active Louisiana pharmacist license in good standing.

Previous inpatient hospital pharmacy experience required.

Pyxis experience preferred; training available.

Epic experience preferred; training available.

Flexibility to work rotating shifts and weekends.
