Student Pilot Volunteer - Digital Wellness & Screen Time Youth Workshop

Screentime for Youth is recruiting student volunteers to join our first digital wellness pilot workshop program.

This pilot is designed for middle and high school students who are interested in screen time, social media habits, attention, sleep, emotional well-being, and youth leadership. Student volunteers will help test and improve a student-centered digital wellness workshop series before it is launched more broadly in schools and youth communities.

As a Student Pilot Volunteer, you will:

Participate in interactive digital wellness workshops.

Reflect on personal screen habits, attention patterns, and digital triggers.

Complete short activities, worksheets, and feedback forms.

Share honest feedback on what feels useful, realistic, confusing, or missing.

Help improve workshop content, language, structure, and student engagement.

Contribute ideas for future student-led clubs, peer mentoring, and school outreach.

Students do not need to have perfect screen habits. We are looking for honest, thoughtful students who are willing to reflect, participate, and help build something meaningful for other young people.

This opportunity is a strong fit for students who are interested in psychology, education, public health, social media, technology, mental health, youth leadership, or community service. No prior experience is required.

Expected commitment:

Approximately 5 workshop sessions.

Each session will be about 60–90 minutes.

Short reflection or feedback activities may be assigned between sessions.

Sessions may be held online or in person depending on student availability and location.

Student volunteers may gain community service experience, leadership development, experience contributing to a youth-focused nonprofit pilot program, and a certificate or verification of participation upon successful completion.

Students who actively participate may also be considered for future opportunities such as STFY Peer Mentor, School Club / Chapter Founder, Workshop Facilitator, Youth Advisory Member, or Research / Content Contributor.
