About This Role
The ideal candidate for this role is a caring and responsible individual who can provide a safe and engaging environment for young children. The substitute teacher will work closely with the lead teacher to implement daily lesson plans, ensuring the welfare, health, and safety of all children.
They will also assist in creating a positive and supportive atmosphere, helping to build relationships with children, parents, and staff. Effective communication, active listening, and teamwork skills are essential for success in this role.
What You'll Do- Develop and maintain a warm and welcoming atmosphere for children, fostering a sense of belonging and security.
- Participate in classroom activities, encouraging children to ask questions, explore, and learn through play.
- Maintain a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment, adhering to established rules and policies.
- Collaborate with other teachers to develop and implement engaging lesson plans, promoting a love of learning.
- Demonstrate exceptional organizational skills, ensuring a smooth and efficient daily routine.
- Effectively communicate with parents, colleagues, and children, using excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
- Perform physical tasks, such as lifting and bending, to support children's needs and participate in outdoor activities.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous childcare experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to work well with others.
- Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
- Medical or physical examination with a record of Mantoux results
- Participate in a criminal background/fingerprint check.
- Travel and support a few child care centers in Monmouth County
- Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification
- Proof of Vaccinations for Covid and Influenza
- An understanding of child development
- A genuine passion for the education and care of children
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- High energy

- Work Monday to Friday, (some or all days) 6:30am to 6:30pm (some or all hours) -A flexible schedule.
