Overview:

Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center is hiring a Registered Nurse for 3 South- Acute Cardiac/Stroke Unit . This is a Full Time, position in Williamsburg, VA.

Sign on Bonus up to $20,000 available for qualified candidates!

Hours: 645PM to 715AM with rotating weekend schedule.

The Acute Cardiac/Stroke Unit (3 South) at Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center provides specialized care for patients with a wide range of cardiac conditions, including heart failure, cardiac rhythm disturbances, newly implanted permanent pacemakers and defibrillators, post-coronary interventions, post-ablation care, and myocardial infarctions. The unit also manages pre- and post-catheterization patients, as well as those experiencing acute stroke.


This 24-bed unit cares for patients with higher acuity than a typical medical-surgical unit. 3 South provides an exciting opportunity for nurses seeking growth in a dynamic, high-acuity environment. Registered Nurse Transition to Practice Programs at Sentara:

Unique 6-Month Program Includes:

• No separate application required, automatic enrollment for any RN with less than 12 months experience or transitioning to a new practice area.

Education

• Degree or Diploma from an accredited Registered Nursing Program
  
• BSN or MSN preferred.
  

Certification/Licensure

• Students in the process of obtaining a Registered Nursing License
  
• BLS within 90 days of hire.
  
• Critical Care/IMCU ACLS within 1 year of hire
  
• NIH within 1 year of hire
  

Experience

• Acute care nursing experience preferred
  
• Background in Stroke or Telemetry preferred
  
• New Grad RNs considered
