Position Life Enrichment Associate – Assisted Living (Full Time) Location Durham, NC Job ID 699 Number of Openings 1 Responsibilities Coordinate and participate in activities such as sports, dramatics, games, and arts & crafts. Regulate program content to match residents’ capabilities, needs, and interests. Instruct and participate in calisthenics, stretching, and limbering exercises, individual and group sports. Participate in team planning and implementation of a life enrichment program and pursue new wellness methods. Meet with the care planning team when necessary, complete assessments, documentation, and daily resident participation records. Counsel and encourage residents to develop leisure activities. Participate in special outings and accompany residents on outings such as ball games, sightseeing, or picnics. Assist in training volunteers and students in recreation therapy techniques. Interact courteously, tactfully, and politely with managers, co‑workers, residents, vendors, or associates. Shift Full Time, 9:00 am – 5:30 pm. Every other weekend with some weekend/holiday availability and schedule flexibility. Education & Experience Activities Certification in LTC or BS in Recreational Therapy preferred but not required. Experience working with senior population, Memory Care, or in Assisted Living/Skilled Nursing setting preferred.
