La Rabida Children’s Hospital is hiring a full-time Dietary Aide for the Food Service department in Chicago, IL. Job Summary: The role of the dietary aide is to provide hospitality services for the patient, guests, and staff of La Rabida Children’s Hospital. Essential Dietary Aide Functions: Prepare formula and patient-specific supplements/food to ensure all patients’ diets coincide with current treatments Prepare breakfast and lunch tray line in addition to snacks for all patients, guests, and staff Open and/or close cafeteria at appropriate times Ensure inventory is accounted for and kitchen is well-stocked Set up and break down cafeteria and kitchen before and after meal times Complete receiving inventory as needed Wash dishes from café and tray carts What we need from you: Education - High School diploma/GED and School of Culinary Arts training preferred. Related Work Experience - 3 years Food Service Operation preferred Licensure/Certification - Food Sanitation Certificate preferred Specialized Knowledge and Skills - Food handling, safety and infection control, customer service, dish machine, cashiering, and Food Sanitation courses preferred.
