Sous Chef full time

JOB OVERVIEW

Immediate opening for an energetic individual that has fast-paced, high-volume, fine dining experience. Full time, year-round position available. Must share our passion for excellent food, flawless service and welcoming atmosphere. Must represent the company in a professional and positive manner at all times. Must maintain and enhance the company’s image when interacting with any dining patrons, associates, and vendors.

The Impact You'll Make

As our Sous Chef, you’ll be the right hand to our Executive Chef, helping to shape menus, inspire the team, and ensure every dish leaves the kitchen at its best. Your leadership will keep service running smoothly, your creativity will bring new flavors to life, and your attention to detail will help us maintain the high standards our guests love.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist the Executive Chef in planning and executing seasonal menus that highlight local produce and sustainable ingredients.
  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring consistency, quality, and timely service.
  • Train, mentor, and motivate kitchen staff to uphold our culinary standards.
  • Manage inventory, order supplies, and control food costs without compromising quality.
  • Step in to lead the kitchen during the Executive Chef’s absence.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen in compliance with health regulations.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 3+ years of experience in a professional kitchen, with at least 1 year in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, flavor profiles, and plating presentation.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Excellent communication and team leadership skills.
  • A passion for culinary innovation and a commitment to quality.
  • Must be considerate, patient and willing to help out fellow employees.
  • Ability to tolerate pressure and work calmly and efficiently during busy times.
  • Must be able to stand/walk for 8 hours; bend, push, pull; lift 40-50 lbs.
  • Must be able to work any day of the week, day or night.
