Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for our Labor & Delivery/Postnatal (LDRPN) unit to provide exceptional care to our patients during night shifts. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering routine and complex nursing care independently, demonstrating awareness of all relevant aspects of patient situations, and effectively managing contingencies in a clinical setting.


Responsibilities:

• Deliver nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients, in accordance with ANA standards.
• Address the psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families, providing appropriate education and support.
• Administer medications and treatments using established protocols; monitor for side effects and treatment effectiveness.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medication administration, and care provided accurately.
• Make appropriate clinical assessments and delegate tasks to care team members to optimize patient care.
• Meet the expectations of applicable organizational competencies and demonstrate leadership qualities.
• Attend and participate in required orientation and competency validation sessions, including annual updates.

Position Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Experience: At least 1 year of related nursing experience preferred; Perinatal RN residency or recent practice in a perinatal setting is highly desirable.
• Licenses and Certifications:
  • Current BLS certification (AHA)
  • Current NRP certification
  • Current ACLS certification (AHA)
  • Certification from one of the following: AWHONN Intermediate FHM or NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM)
  • STABLE certification from one of the approved courses
  • Active RN license in NM or a compact state

Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, full-time position requiring six weekend shifts within a 6-week schedule.
