Sterile Pharmacy Technician

We are seeking a detail-oriented Sterile Pharmacy Technician to join a growing pharmacy team. In this role, you will prepare and compound sterile medications in a controlled cleanroom environment while following established procedures and quality standards. You will work under the direct supervision of a pharmacist to ensure medications are prepared accurately, safely, and efficiently.

Previous sterile compounding experience is not required for candidates who have the necessary certifications and a willingness to learn.

• Prepare and compound sterile medications, including IV solutions, injectable medications, and other compounded sterile products.

• Perform aseptic techniques within an ISO 5 cleanroom environment to maintain product sterility.

• Wear full cleanroom gowning, including protective garments and goggles, throughout the shift.

• Operate compounding equipment according to established procedures and safety requirements.

• Complete batch records and other documentation accurately, following good documentation practices.

• Clean and maintain the cleanroom and compounding equipment in accordance with established procedures.

• Properly label, package, and prepare finished medications for distribution.

• Follow applicable pharmacy regulations, quality standards, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

• Collaborate with pharmacists and fellow team members to meet production goals and maintain a clean, organized work environment.

• Valid Pharmacy Technician registration or license in the state of Texas.

• Current IV certification is required.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

• Ability to follow written procedures and maintain accurate documentation.

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

• Ability to wear full cleanroom gowning, including a bunny suit and goggles, for the duration of the shift.

• Previous cleanroom gowning experience.

• Experience in a pharmacy, hospital, or other healthcare setting.

• Previous sterile compounding or IV preparation experience.

• Familiarity with pharmacy quality standards and sterile preparation procedures.

No previous sterile compounding experience is required. Candidates with the required certifications who are eager to learn are encouraged to apply.

• Shift: First shift, Monday-Friday.

• Hours: Scheduled start and end times will fall within the 7:00 AM-7:00 PM window. Exact shift hours are still being finalized.

This position is performed in a controlled cleanroom environment where employees must wear full protective gowning and follow strict cleanliness and safety procedures. The role requires extended periods of standing and the ability to handle materials weighing up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
