Overview
An Information Data Architect defines the overall data architecture strategy for an organization. They design systems that ensure data is accurate, accessible, secure, and aligned with business goals across platforms like databases, data warehouses, and cloud systems.



Key Responsibilities

• Design enterprise-wide data architecture frameworks
• Define data models, standards, and governance policies
• Oversee integration of data from multiple systems (ETL/ELT)
• Design data warehouses , data lakes, and Lakehouse architectures
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and security
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, and engineers
• Select and evaluate data technologies and tools
• Guide data modeling and database design efforts
• Establish metadata management and data lineage practices
• Support analytics, BI, and AI/ML initiatives

• Strong expertise in:
  • Database systems (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Snowflake)
  • Data modeling (conceptual, logical, physical)
  • Data warehousing (star schema, snowflake schema)
  • Big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop)
  • Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
• ETL/ELT tools (Informatica, Talend, dbt)
• SQL and performance optimization
• Data governance and security (GDPR, access control, encryption)

Architecture & Strategy Skills

• Enterprise architecture frameworks
• Data lifecycle management
• Scalability and performance design
