Job TitleWork Location: Los Angeles, CA, USAOnsite or Remote Fully On-Site Work Schedule Monday-Friday 8am-5pm Posted Date 06/30/2026Salary Range: $85.82 - 113.22 Hourly Employment Type 2 - Staff: Career Duration Indefinite Job # 31603Primary Duties and ResponsibilitiesPress space or enter keys to toggle section visibilityJob QualificationsRequired:Certification by the American Board of Medical Dosimetry or eligibility to sit for the exam required for DosimetristBachelors degree or higher3 years of full-time dosimetry experience preferredKnowledgeable in the operation of radiotherapy equipment, including linear accelerators, cobalt teletherapy units, simulators, dosimetric equipment, brachytherapy equipment, computerized treatment planning systems, and record and verification/patient information management systems.Proficient in external beam and brachytherapy treatment planning.Ability to perform and analyze in-vivo and in-phantom measurements.Knowledgeable of current radiotherapy treatment techniques.Ability to assess and plot radiation dose distributions.Skill in providing treatment planning and dose-calculation services for patient treatment and diagnosis with external, interstitial, intracavitary, and distributed internal sources.Knowledge of the principles of radiation safety and Health Physics.Knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, clinical oncology, radiobiology, radiation physics.Experience in the reading of x-ray films to determine anatomical sites.Ability to exercise independent judgment and problem-solving in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care within the context of radiotherapy.Ability to express ideas clearly and concisely, to exercise diplomacy in dealing with others, to secure cooperation from colleagues, and to communicate effectively with patients and medical staff.Ability to appropriately interact with and provide special assistance to various age groups of patients, i.e., pediatric and geriatric patients.Ability to work variable shifts, including evenings and weekends.Skill in mathematics including algebra and trigonometry
