Legal Billing Specialist

LHH is partnering with valued client to identify an experienced Legal Billing Specialist to support a busy accounting and finance function. RESPONSIBILITIES Prepare, review, and process client invoices in accordance with established billing procedures and engagement terms. Generate and revise pre-bills, finalize invoices, and coordinate timely distribution to clients. Monitor billing activity, adjustments, write-offs, and documentation related to account inquiries. Submit invoices through electronic billing platforms and ensure compliance with client requirements. Track reimbursable expenses, costs, and other billable charges for accurate invoicing. Prepare reports related to billing activity, accounts receivable, and outstanding balances. Address billing questions and resolve discrepancies in a timely and professional manner. Maintain accurate billing records, client information, and matter-related data. Collaborate with attorneys and legal support staff to ensure billing accuracy and timely completion of billing cycles. Support month-end billing processes and assist with financial reporting as needed. QUALIFICATIONS 3+ years of billing experience, preferably in a legal or professional services environment. Experience with electronic invoicing and billing platforms. Strong attention to detail and the ability to troubleshoot billing issues. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel. Excellent organizational, communication, and client service skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
