The hotel catering sales manager sells banquet space and food packages, books corporate and social events, and coordinates details with the hotel staff. Sales and Booking Find new clients, make sales calls, and negotiate contracts for food, drinks, and event spaces to meet revenue goals. Event Planning Detail menu choices, room setups, and decoration needs with clients. Cross-Team Communication Create Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and work with the kitchen, banquets, and operations teams to run smooth events. Experience Usually requires one to three years of experience in hotel sales, catering, or guest services. Education High school diploma required; a hospitality or business degree is often preferred. Skills Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
