Overview


The Senior Accounting Manager will oversee day to day accounting operations with a strong focus on construction accounting, Work In Progress (WIP) reporting, month end close, Accounts Payable, and cash flow management. This individual will serve as a key financial partner to leadership and help strengthen accounting processes across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support the month end close process including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
• Manage full cycle Accounts Payable operations and vendor relationships
• Oversee cash flow management and assist leadership with financial planning needs
• Maintain and monitor Work In Progress (WIP) schedules and project based financial reporting
• Identify discrepancies, cost overruns, and accounting risks within construction projects
• Support inventory oversight and tracking processes
• Assist with subcontractor payments and business related tax functions
• Partner closely with leadership to improve efficiencies and offload day to day accounting responsibilities
• Communicate professionally with key vendors and external partners including major supplier accounts
• Assist with the company's transition and continued utilization of QuickBooks Online (QBO)

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience required
• Strong background in construction accounting highly preferred
• Direct experience with WIP reporting and project based accounting required
• Experience managing AP, month end close, and cash flow activities
• Familiarity with subcontractor payments, vendor management, and inventory accounting
• QuickBooks Online experience strongly preferred
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify issues proactively
• Professional communication skills and ability to work cross functionally with leadership and vendors
• CPA or advanced accounting education is a plus, but not required
