Senior Accountant

PrideStaff is looking for a Senior Accountant for a manufacturing company in Modesto, CA. A Senior Accountant in manufacturing manages financial operations, cost accounting, and inventory valuation for production plants.

Key responsibilities include the following:

• Lead financial close activities, prepare journal entries, reconcile ledger and inventory sub-ledgers, and own plant P&L or balance sheet reporting
• Analyze purchase price, labor, overhead, yield, and process order variances
• Track raw materials, monitor Excess and Obsolescence reserves, and execute cost rollups and Bill of Materials updates
• Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, and Procurement teams to optimize cost efficiency and explain financial results
• Assist in periodic forecasting, annual budgeting, and ensuring U.S GAAP compliance
• Perform other duties as needed

Qualifications include the following:

• Recent, relevant experience within the past 5-10 years
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency and hands-on experience with major ERP systems (SAP, NetSuite, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics)
• Strong analytical thinking and the ability to translate complex financial data for non-financial operations leaders
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or active candidate progress
• Must be at least 18 years old and able to show proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.
• Must be willing to submit to a pre-employment background check and drug screening

Schedule: Hybrid (Remote and In Office) M-F from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Pay range varies DOE: $30-$50/HR Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $30.00 - $50.00 Per Hour
