Quality Engineer - Aerospace Manufacturing (City of Industry, CA) Consolidated Precision Products (CPP) is currently looking for a Quality Engineer to join our City of Industry team! Salary Rate: $100K - $120K. Competitive compensation with overtime opportunities and a comprehensive benefits package. Essential Job Functions / Duties Develop, maintain, and advance CPP quality systems, procedures, and practices. Interpret customer drawings, specifications, reports and have basic working knowledge of GD&T. Communicate with customers to resolve/address quality system concerns/inquiries. Audit production lots for adherence to established techniques and ensure repeatability of results. Participate in customer/external audits including preparation, guidance and closure. Actively participate in continuous improvement efforts. Enforce quality for the casting manufacturing process, continuously improving processes and products so that castings meet or exceed customer expectations. Identify process yield issues using data analysis techniques (statistical, mathematical, DOE, 6 Sigma, etc.) to uncover variables not maintained in a controlled fashion. Generate quality shipment documentation, including certificates of conformance and other quality audit checklists. Drive closure of preventative/corrective actions, customer returns/inquiries. Manage resolution of non‑conforming material/processes. Interact with CPP NDT Level III personnel to ensure product compliance. Develop internal job instructions with strong written communication skills. Support Gage R&R studies, process capability, SPC, correlation and other data-related statistical activities. Be familiar with FMEA, Control Plan and PPAP documentation. Qualifications BS in Engineering or 3–5 years of applicable experience in quality systems and/or training. Strong communication skills (written and verbal), PC skills, and program management skills. Knowledge of quality systems, auditing practices, Six Sigma principles, and Lean Manufacturing. Excellent organizational, interpersonal and documentation skills. Experience demonstrating increasing levels of responsibility. Motivated individual with data‑driven problem‑solving techniques. Knowledge of ISO‑9000 Standards. Well versed with mechanical, casting and problem‑solving techniques. Additional Information Sponsorship is not available.
