What You'll Do

• Perform comprehensive diagnostic evaluations for inpatients and outpatients, considering diagnosis and age-specific needs
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans with patient/family participation
• Document evaluations, progress notes, discharge summaries, and other required documentation
• Participate in patient care conferences, family discussions, and departmental meetings
• Counsel patients and families regarding care and treatment options
• Supervise and coordinate Physical Therapy student and volunteer programs
• Assist with orientation, patient scheduling, and staff supervision within the department
• Support performance improvement initiatives and departmental productivity standards
• Foster positive relationships with medical staff and referral sources
• Stay informed about community resources to facilitate referrals

What You Need

• Required:
  • Current New Mexico Physical Therapist Licensure
  • BLS certification from AHA
• Preferred:
  • Ability to perform patient care responsibilities aligned with age and developmental needs
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Flexibility in clinical approach
