Software Developer

Ultimus Fund Solutions is seeking a talented and motivated Software Developer to join our growing technology team. This individual will play a key role in the design, development, enhancement, and support of proprietary business applications and technology solutions that support our fund administration and financial services operations. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong analytical and problem-solving skills who is comfortable participating throughout the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, solution design, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing support. In this role, you will work with financial and operational data from multiple source systems, helping to develop solutions that facilitate data integration, processing, reporting, and automation. Our proprietary applications are primarily built using C#, .NET, ASP.NET MVC, Angular, and Microsoft SQL Server. In addition to developing web-based applications and services, we maintain a substantial portfolio of backend processing, workflow automation, integration, and data management solutions. Job Responsibilities Participate in requirements gathering, solution design, and technical planning sessions with business stakeholders and development team members. Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain software applications, APIs, integrations, and automated business processes. Design, develop, and maintain secure applications and services in accordance with secure coding standards, OWASP guidelines, and industry best practices. Provide effort estimates, technical recommendations, and implementation plans for development initiatives. Identify, remediate, and prevent security vulnerabilities through secure design reviews, code reviews, testing, and adherence to established Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SSDLC) processes. Support and troubleshoot production applications, identifying bugs, root cause. and implementing corrective actions. Create and maintain technical documentation, application specifications, and support procedures. Collaborate with business users to understand reporting and data requirements and develop solutions that meet business objectives, and/or improve operational efficiency. Participate in code reviews, testing activities, and continuous improvement initiatives throughout the software development lifecycle. Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience developing enterprise applications using C# and Microsoft .NET. Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including query development, database design, performance tuning, and optimization. Experience building, maintaining, and supporting web-based applications and APIs using modern development concepts. Understanding of secure software development principles, common application security vulnerabilities (OWASP Top 10), authentication and authorization concepts, and secure coding best practices. Experience gathering requirements and working directly with business stakeholders to deliver technical solutions. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, software engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools to improve software quality, developer productivity, testing, code review, documentation, and other Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) activities. Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio, Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and unit testing. Experience developing microservices, RESTful APIs, and distributed applications. Familiarity with financial services, fund administration, private equity operations, or investment accounting platforms. #J-18808-Ljbffr
