Make a meaningful difference as an onsite Occupational Therapist, providing essential support to students in a specialized educational environment near Gardiner, ME. This is a unique contract opportunity at a behavior-focused special purpose school, offering flexible one-day-per-week scheduling now through June 2027.

You’ll play a key role in supporting both direct therapy and essential documentation for four out-of-district placed students. The school is eager to accommodate your preferred weekday, allowing you to integrate this rewarding assignment into your existing professional life or add meaningful variety to your weekly schedule.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Maine OT Certification required
• Experience working in school settings, especially with behavioral or special purpose student populations, strongly preferred
• Strong clinical assessment, direct therapy, and case documentation skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Organized, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently onsite

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide direct occupational therapy to students with behavioral and special needs
• Complete required documentation and participate in indirect service activities as needed
• Develop and implement individualized strategies to foster students’ growth, engagement, and independence
• Offer consultation to school staff and families to maximize student progress
• Maintain compliance with all relevant state, federal, and school policies and regulations
