Make a meaningful difference in students’ lives by providing essential Occupational Therapy services within a supportive school community. This contract opportunity offers flexibility and professional fulfillment, focusing on direct and indirect OT support for a small caseload of students at a single location.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Current Maine Occupational Therapist (OT) Certification.
- Previous experience working within school settings is highly preferred.
- Skillful in delivering both direct therapy services and completing associated paperwork.
- Strong collaborative abilities with educators, families, and support staff.
- Adaptable and organized, able to manage schedules and documentation efficiently.
Role Expectations:
- Provide on-site OT services for approximately one day per week, with flexibility on which day is worked.
- Deliver direct therapeutic interventions for around 11 students, equating to roughly 4 hours, plus time dedicated to assessments, planning, and documentation.
- Develop individualized goals and adapt interventions to meet students’ diverse needs.
- Communicate progress and recommendations to families and school staff as needed.
- Maintain compliance with relevant state and district documentation requirements.
- Engage positively with school teams to help create accessible, supportive learning environments.
