Patient Care Technician, Ambulatory Surgery

Hourly Pay Range: $18.84 - $27.32 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors. Position Highlights:

• Position : Patient Care Technician, Cardiac Ambulatory
• Location : Glenbrook Hospital
• Full Time/Part Time: Full Time
• Hours : 40 hours, 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts - 10 am - 8:30 pm
• Required Travel: None

What you will do:

• Provide basic patient care including bathing, grooming, feeding, toileting, and positioning under the direction of an RN/LPN
• Perform purposeful hourly rounding and respond to patient call lights and requests
• Assist with safe patient handling including ambulation, transfers, and repositioning using proper equipment
• Obtain and document vital signs, weights, intake/output, and other patient care activities per protocol
• Support admissions, discharges, and patient transports while ensuring patient safety and comfort

What you will need:

• Education : High school diploma or equivalent required; CNA training or completion of a nursing clinical rotation preferred
• Certification : BLS for Healthcare Provider (AHA) required within 90 days of hire
• Experience : No prior experience required
• Unique or Preferred Skills : Strong interpersonal skills, ability to prioritize tasks, teamwork, and commitment to patient-centered care
