Commercial GlazierThis role focuses on the fabrication and installation of a wide range of commercial glazing systems, including storefronts, curtain walls, aluminum-framed entrances, and specialty glass features. The position is hands-on and field-based, working primarily on new commercial and industrial construction sites to deliver high-quality, precise glass and glazing installations.ResponsibilitiesFabricate and install commercial storefront systems, curtain walls, and aluminum-framed entrances according to project specifications and industry standards.Install glass and a variety of glazing materials with a strong emphasis on accuracy, safety, and quality workmanship.Install specialty glass features such as glazed canopies, skylights, glass guardrails, mirrors, and glass markerboards.Install hardware, fasteners, and other materials associated with storefronts, curtain walls, entrances, and specialty glass systems.Read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings to plan and execute installations correctly.Measure openings and materials accurately using tape measures and other hand tools to ensure proper fit and alignment.Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for framing, cutting, fastening, and finishing tasks.Perform finish carpentry and framing work related to window, door, and glass system installation as needed.Work on commercial buildings and new construction sites, installing commercial and industrial windows and related glazing systems.Collaborate with other construction professionals on site to coordinate work and meet project timelines.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, following all site safety rules and procedures.Inspect completed installations for quality, functionality, and compliance with project requirements, making adjustments as necessary.Essential Skills23 years of commercial glazing experience, including hands-on installation of glass and glazing systems.Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings accurately.Prior experience in the construction field, particularly on commercial projects.Experience installing glass doors, aluminum storefronts, and windows.Carpentry and framing experience related to window and door installation.Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work with a variety of tools and materials.Proficiency using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.Ability to use a tape measure and perform precise measurements and basic calculations.Comfort working on new construction sites, including commercial and industrial buildings.Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, from hot and humid to cold and wet.Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality finish carpentry and glazing work.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in commercial construction environments and familiarity with construction site practices.Experience in cabinetry or finish carpentry, contributing to precise and clean installations.Strong installation skills across windows, doors, and related hardware.Ability to read and follow detailed instructions and project specifications.Problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot installation challenges on site.Reliability and initiative, with a track record of taking ownership of tasks and learning new techniques.Comfort working on multiple projects, with the ability to adapt to different site conditions and timelines.Why Work Here?Employees benefit from a comprehensive package that supports both financial security and well-being, including strong benefits, a 401(k) with employer match after one year, and a company vehicle for travel to job sites.
