Overview As a Sonographer , your skill, compassion, and professionalism help create a reassuring experience for patients during ultrasound and biopsy procedures. You play an important role in helping patients feel informed, comfortable, and supported throughout their care journey. Using your expertise and sound clinical judgment, you will determine appropriate imaging techniques and contribute to high-quality patient care. Legacy Silverton Medical Center serves the heart of the Willamette Valley with a wide mix of services, many not typically available in a community hospital: CT scan (computerized tomography), nuclear medicine, echocardiography, family birth center and much more. Responsibilities Imaging: Provides quality images with accuracy and efficiency, using optimal skills and knowledge of all equipment. Documentation: Gathers complete documentation of all pertinent information to provide accurate and timely service to customers. Patient Care & Safety: Provides for personal and patient care and safety using professional judgment in accordance with written standards so there is no injury to self or others. Professional Behavior: Practices professional communications, appearance, conduct, punctuality, attendance, and attitude that lead to physician, patient and co-worker respect and confidence. Qualifications Education: Graduate of accredited (by AMA or ARDMS) school of ultrasound or equivalent experience is required. Licensure Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer in Abdomen and OB/GYN (ARDMS AB OB). Current state license in Sonography required for all employees who perform this job in the state of Oregon. BLS/CPR Certification: American Heart Association, Health Care provider level BLS and AED Certification required. ARDMS Breast certification preferred. Vascular Technologist (RVT) certification preferred for vascular clinics. Note: If proof of registration is not received within one year of assuming the non-certified Sonographer job, the position will be vacated by the incumbent. Pay Range USD $48.69 - USD $69.65 /Hr.
