Maintenance Technician

Facility MechanicLocation: Boeing, HuntsvilleJob Type: On-siteReports to: Facility ManagerDepartment: North America OperationsPosition Purpose: Provide industrial mechanical, hydraulic, & pneumatic maintenance support and analysis to assist Leadec in maintaining & improving the capability of machinery and equipment to achieve customer objectives.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Demonstrates the values and business principles of Leadec.Works safely at all times.Install, maintain, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, & pneumatic systems and equipment in industrial settings.Perform preventative maintenance on mechanical, hydraulic, & pneumatic systems and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.Troubleshoot problems and diagnose issues with mechanical, hydraulic, & pneumatic systems and equipment.Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and diagrams to install and maintain mechanical, hydraulic, & pneumatic systems and equipment.Install and maintain mechanical, hydraulic, & pneumatic control systems for industrial machinery and equipment.Ensure compliance with codes, standards, and regulations.Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as engineers, mechanics, and technicians, to complete projects and repairs.Provide training and guidance to apprentices and other junior mechanics.Keep accurate records of work performed and maintain inventory of required equipment and supplies.Adhering to and supporting all EHS and Quality objectives, in accordance with ISO 14001, 45001 and 9001 respectively.All other duties as assigned by Leadec manager.Competencies:Managing TasksOpen CommunicationSelf-ManagementKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Communication Skills - Ability to communicate with all levels of Leadec and customer employees.Language Ability -- Talking to others to convey information effectively.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations related to industrial maintenance work.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Physical ability to work in confined spaces and at heights.Experience working in industrial settings such as factories, plants, or warehouses.Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.Willingness to keep up with industry developments and advancements.Skilled in Root Cause based maintenance practices.Exceptional planning, communication, and Leadership skills.Position Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent.Previous experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment is preferred.Completion of an apprenticeship program or equivalent training and experience.2+ years of experience in Industrial Mechanical Maintenance related duties. Must have strong electrical skills.Physical Requirements:Required to talk and/or hear in an industrial setting (noise level is moderate).Frequently required to stand and walk on concrete surface for 4-12 hours.Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; lift: climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.Vision requirements: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception and focus adjustment.Work is performed in an industrial-manufacturing environment with the necessary time spent working on a computer or at a desk.Schedule is Mon-Thurs 6:00am-4:30pmLocation: 499 Boeing Boulevard Southwest, Huntsville, Alabama 35824
