About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intermediate Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years required. License: Active RN license required. Certifications: BLS and ACLS required. Must-Have: Experience in telemetry and acute care units, vent and transplant experience. Description: Traveler will work in both Intermediate Care Acute Medicine and Thoracic units. Shifts are from 07:00 to 19:30, every other weekend and holidays required. Telemetry and cardiac experience is necessary, with a focus on oncology and progressive care. Clinical skills include managing ventilated patients, administering blood products, and central line care. Nurses will care for acutely ill adults presenting with multiple comorbidities and hemodynamic instability. Special populations include patients with cystic fibrosis, pulmonary hypertension, and post-lung transplant care. Teamwork and critical thinking are essential in this fast-paced environment. The role requires providing care to surgical and trauma patients within a collaborative interdisciplinary team. Strong proficiency in acute care and telemetry is required. Nurses must pass a telemetry test to be cleared for the role. The unit features a 29-bed capacity with a staff-patient ratio of 1:2 for intermediate care. Floating may be required based on unit needs.
