Clinic Registered Nurse (RN)Texas Oncology is looking for a Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team! This full time position will support the Medical Oncology department for the Amarillo location. This is a full-time Monday-Friday 8am-5pm position with no weekends, call, or major holidays.This position can be a level 1, 2, or Sr based on candidate experience.Texas Oncology is the largest community oncology provider in the country and has approximately 600+ providers in 220+ sites across Texas and southeastern Oklahoma. Must recognize physical, psychological, and spiritual aspects of care and participates in company-wide quality initiatives. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.ResponsibilitiesPlan, implement, coordinate, evaluate and promote the continuity of care consistent with established standards and practices.Assesses health status by interviewing patient regarding current status and medical history.Assesses patient/family needs and provides teaching and other instructional material.Provides psychosocial support to patients and families.Triages patient phone calls as needed and documents relevant information in the patient's chart.Facilitates communication between patient/family and interdisciplinary team and coordinates services related to patient care.Assist patients in locating available community resources.Acts as a resource to LPN/LVNs and medical assistants.QualificationsThe ideal candidate for the Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) will have the following background and experience:Level 1:Graduate from an accredited program for professional nursing education, BSN preferred.RN state license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state.0-3 years nursing experience, preferably at least one year in oncology.Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.Level 2 (in addition to level 1 requirements):3-5 years nursing experience.Oncology certification preferred.Level Sr (in addition to level 1 and 2 requirements):Five years nursing experience.Working Conditions:The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
