IDD Executive Director

Overview We are hiring an Executive Director (ID) for a single business unit supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). The role provides strategic and operational leadership, ensuring person‑centered, high‑quality service delivery while meeting regulatory and contractual standards. Duties and Responsibilities Operational Leadership: Oversight of clinical, administrative, financial, and workforce operations; maintain organizational culture and compliance. Quality & Compliance: Lead the Quality Management Team; implement and monitor Personal Outcome Measures (POMs), Quality Improvement Plan, audits, incident tracking, and risk mitigation. Clinical & Programmatic Oversight: Ensure licensed professional oversight and alignment with best practices and regulatory standards. Workforce Development: Implement staff training, foster professional development, engagement, and high performance. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with external agencies, families, and community partners to strengthen services. Supervisory Responsibilities: Direct and indirect supervision of all unit positions, including clinical staff, administrators, and support personnel; build high‑performing teams and oversee performance management. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in human services, health administration, social work, or related field (master’s preferred). Five or more years of leadership experience in IDD services, long‑term care facilities, or similar healthcare/human services settings. Demonstrated knowledge of IDD regulatory standards (HCBS, CMS, CARF, state licensing). Proven ability to lead interdisciplinary teams and drive service excellence within a regulated environment. Strong financial acumen; experience managing operating budgets and business performance metrics. Exceptional interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills; ability to build collaborative relationships with regulators, managed care organizations, community partners, and families. Physical Demands and Work Environment The position requires sustained physical activity such as sitting, standing, walking, hand movements, use of standard office equipment, and occasional lifting. Regular use of technology and exposure to screen time are required.
