Procurement Specialist

The Greathouse Company is looking for a Procurement Specialist with experience in the landscape construction, landscape maintenance, irrigation, or green industry to join our growing team. This isn't your typical purchasing position. You'll work directly with our Operations, Project Managers, Account Managers, and field teams to ensure every job has the plants, irrigation materials, hardscape products, equipment, and supplies needed to keep projects moving efficiently. If you've worked in landscaping and understand the difference between a delay in material delivery and a successful installation, you'll thrive in this role. What You'll Do Source and purchase plants, trees, shrubs, irrigation materials, hardscape products, mulch, stone, soil, and construction supplies. Coordinate with vendors, nurseries, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure materials arrive on time. Build strong relationships with local vendors and negotiate pricing when appropriate. Review project schedules and anticipate upcoming material needs. Create and manage purchase orders using company software. Track deliveries and quickly resolve shortages or supply issues. Monitor inventory levels and help maintain efficient stock levels. Work closely with Project Managers, Maintenance Managers, Irrigation Managers, and Operations to support successful project execution. Assist with reporting, documentation, and procurement records. What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who understands the landscape industry and enjoys solving problems before they become issues. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of landscape plants, irrigation products, hardscape materials, or construction supplies. Strong organizational and communication skills. Experience working with vendors and subcontractors. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
