Join our healthcare partner's Cardiovascular Unit (CVU) and be a part of a team that cares for over 4,000 cardiology patients annually, including those undergoing procedures like PTCA, stents, TAVR, MitraClip, and bi-ventricular pacemakers.

As a critical member of the CVU, you will utilize your clinical judgment skills to diagnose and treat patient responses to actual or potential health conditions. This role is pivotal in ensuring exceptional patient care and optimal outcomes. The CVU specializes in the care of patients with congestive heart failure and electrophysiology studies, and it has been recognized with a Silver level Beacon Award by the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN).

• Provide high-quality care to cardiovascular patients, including post-operative care for open-heart surgery patients
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to manage patient care effectively
• Utilize EKG proficiency and cardiac expertise to monitor and assess patient conditions
• Float to similar units as needed to support patient care across the facility
• Maintain compliance with health system-wide profile standards and Michigan license verification

Requirements:

• 1+ year of Stepdown experience
• Proficiency in cardiac care
• Comfortable with EKG interpretation
• Willingness to float to similar units
• Active Michigan RN license
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS
